'Gabriel Jesus is coming!' - Arsenal supporters in transfer frenzy after three-letter message

The transfer window often provides Arsenal supporters with the chance to get very creative over potential announcements, and to their credit they often come up with spectacular ones.

A few months ago one fan, in particular, had brilliantly theorised a scenario that 'hinted' at Erling Haaland to the Gunners was a done deal as prior to a Norway fixture, the striker posed for a picture alongside Martin Odegaard and Sander Berge with the colour of his flip-flops prompting a brilliant response from @SemperFiArsenal on Twitter who posted: "Red and white slippers!!!! Haaland to Arsenal done."

Of course, this Arsenal supporter didn't get their wish as whilst the 21-year-old has indeed left Borussia Dortmund since this stunning transfer theory emerged, he has joined Manchester City instead - although his arrival at the Etihad Stadium does look set to benefit the north London outfit.

With the Gunners interested in signing Gabriel Jesus, any deal should be made a lot more easier to conclude as the Brazil international's game time is likely to reduce if he was to stay put in Manchester and play second fiddle to Haaland who is expected to have a big role under Pep Guardiola next season.

The latest on Arsenal's pursuit of the 25-year-old, as per the Mirror, is that they have offered him a €16million-per-year contract - around £264,000-per-week which will rise to €17million-per-year - around £280,000-per-week - if he helps Mikel Arteta's side qualify for the Champions League next season.

Should the Gunners wrap up a deal for Gabriel Jesus he will become the club's third - or fourth depending on when Matt Turner's move from New England Revolution is confirmed - signing of what is shaping up to be yet another busy summer transfer window under Arteta and technical director Edu.

But is an announcement close? Well, judging by some responses on Arsenal Reddit, there's a feeling that this is certainly the case as a few fans think the club's official Twitter account is hinting at exciting news.

Prior to Fabio Vieira's deal being confirmed on social media, it was spotted @AFC_Ball that their previous four tweets had spelt out the letter 'F A B I' and whilst whoever was on duty on Tuesday evening replied by asking: 'Or it could be a coincidence?' the fifth tweet began with the letter 'O' thus spelling out 'FABIO'.

And with the club's first tweet on Wednesday morning beginning with a 'G' is has prompted some brilliant theories amongst some Arsenal fans that this is the beginning of the Gabriel Jesus announcement especially as the next two tweets have begun with an 'A' - which is a little bit of a stretch as it's three love heart emojis but the GIF text does start with an 'A' - and a 'B' for a 'behind the scenes' look at Fabio Vieira's first day at London Colney.

It may be three simple letters, but the cryptic message has prompted a big response on Twitter too with @Gravitygunner14 speculating: "Yes yes! We're spelling G-A-B! I believe Gabriel Jesus is coming, otherwise a contract extension for Gabriel Martinelli. Pretty sure the former is true!"

@Benwoo151 said: "It's happening it’s Gab so far", @Clemoh_ said: "First tweet started with a G second love emoji (amor) in Gabriel's native language and now B, are you thinking what am thinking fellow Gooners" and @baba_bulu said: "Announce Jesus."
