Arsenal are set for a busy summer transfer window and are set to add Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus to their ranks, their third signing ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Goalkeeper Matt Turner and midfielder Fabio Vieira have already completed their moves from New England Revolution and Porto respectively as Mikel Arteta looks to forge a side capable of breaking into the top-four. They were narrowly pipped to the spot last season by Tottenham but there is plenty of optimism around the club that they can go one better in 2022-23.
Jesus is entering the final year of his contract at the Etihad and, following the signing of Erling Haaland, City are happy to cash in on the 25-year-old while they still can. A fee in the region of £45 million has been agreed between Arsenal and City and Jesus is set to undergo his medical in north London before his arrival is confirmed later this week.

It is a deal that will once again see Arteta work with the Brazilian having previously been a coach under Pep Guardiola in the north west. Arteta was a popular figure during his time at City and Jesus has already delivered a glowing verdict on his soon-to-be new manager.
Speaking back in December 2019, he said: "He's helped a lot of players. When I want to do finishing after training, I tell him and he comes and helps me. So he is really fantastic for us. All the players know that — everyone knows that in the club. He is a fantastic guy and fantastic manager."
