Gabriel Jesus has spoken highly about his link-up with Eddie Nketiah following Arsenal's victory over Nurnberg on Friday afternoon.
The Gunners had played their first pre-season match last week, beating Ipswich Town 5-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly. However, officially they got their pre-season preparations underway on Friday at the Max-Morlock-Stadion, defeating Nurnberg 5-3 in a thrilling encounter.
New signing Jesus stole the show against the German outfit, netting two goals in his first match for Mikel Arteta's side, with the first strike coming less than 90 seconds after he was substituted on. The Brazilian international linked up well with fellow frontman Nketiah, who provided him with the assist for the aforementioned finish.

And Jesus made it no secret of his admiration for the Hale End academy graduate after the full-time whistle. “It was so good to play with Eddie,” he said.
“We’re both together and make short passes that’s good. Two strikers there is a little bit different. We have a lot of qualities and it was so good to play with him.”
The former Manchester City star is one of four players signed by the north London outfit this summer, joining young winger Marquinhos, experienced American shot-stopper Matt Turner and talented Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira at the Emirates Stadium.
Next up for the Gunners is their tour of the USA, where they will face Everton, Orlando City and Chelsea, before returning to north London to take on Sevilla in the Emirates Cup.
