One of the big additions the Los Angeles Lakers made this offseason was Gabe Vincent, a young and gritty guard who made his name with the Miami Heat last season. He was a key part of the Heat’s unexpected run to the NBA Finals thanks to his aggressive defense, secondary ball-handling and timely 3-point shooting.
He has shown signs this season of becoming a glue guy for Los Angeles. Head coach Darvin Ham has often gone with him in the fourth quarter of games, and his defense has helped the team get off to a decent start.
However, Vincent missed the Lakers’ last game with a knee ailment. That ailment will cause him to miss at least the next two weeks.
The Lakers say that Gabe Vincent will be out the next two weeks with his left knee effusion. After two weeks he’ll be re-evaluated and return to play options will be assessed at that time.

Without him, the Lakers will likely call upon second-year man Max Christie, as they did on Wednesday in their overtime win over the Clippers.
