Mateusz Gamrot Re-Signs With UFC, Set To Face Dan Hooker

Gabby Williams has officially re-signed with the WNBA’s Seattle Storm for the remainder of the 2024 season, following her standout performance at the Olympics where she helped lead France to a silver medal. This marks Williams’ third season with the Storm, who initially acquired her in 2022 through a trade with the Los Angeles Sparks.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Williams expressed her excitement about returning to Seattle, emphasizing her eagerness to reunite with the organization, teammates, and fans. The 27-year-old player, recently honored as the Best Defensive Player at the Paris Games, is determined to finish the season on a high note.

During her time at the Olympics, Williams delivered an impressive performance, averaging 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.8 steals across six games for France. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the gold medal game against Team USA, where her exceptional skills nearly led to an upset, with France falling just short in a 67-66 defeat.

Despite a valiant effort by Williams, her last-second shot that would have forced overtime was ruled a two-pointer as her foot was on the line. The Storm's Head Coach Noelle Quinn commended Williams' Olympic display, highlighting her world-class talent and versatility. Quinn expressed enthusiasm about Williams rejoining the team as they strive for a playoff berth.

The Seattle Storm, currently ranked third in the Western Conference and fifth overall in the league with an 18-10 record, are gearing up for their upcoming game against the Washington Mystics at home on Monday.
