TalkSport pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Leeds United are taking a huge ‘risk’ by not signing players with Premier League experience this summer.
Jesse Marsch has bolstered his squad with the signings of six summer additions: Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi. None of his summer recruits boast any Premier League experience and the former Aston Villa has called on Marsch to add more ‘firepower’ to his squad before the start of the season.
“It happened to us at Aston Villa,” Agbonlahor said. “We bought in a lot of players from the French league and we didn’t know much about them.

He added: “It took them a couple of years to get to the level where they are now. A lot of them are playing at the top level and are in great form but Leeds haven’t got that time.
“Bringing in a lot of players that haven’t played in the Premier League can be risky. It might take them a season to get used to the pace of the Premier League so they need more firepower and guaranteed Premier League goals to stay in the league.”
