GAA fixture details confirmed as GAA reveal venues for All-Ireland group stage final round

The GAA have confirmed the dates and venues for the crucial Round Three All-Ireland SFC round-robin games.

With all games set for neutral venues, there was speculation that at least two of the fixtures would be played as a double-header at Croke Park.

Armagh’s eagerly-anticipated rematch with Galway was touted as one of the games likely to be taken to HQ after their thrilling All-Ireland SFC quarter-final ended in a penalty shootout win for the Tribesmen last summer.

However, that game will take place in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday, June 18.

Tyrone’s Group Three clash with Westmeath is scheduled for Kingspan Breffni Park with both Ulster counties needing at least one more point to guarantee going through to at least the preliminary quarter-finals.

As things stand, only Derry, Donegal, Monaghan, Mayo and Galway are assured of their place in the knockout stage while Clare are the only side who cannot progress beyond the group stage.

Ulster Champions Derry will face the Banner in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday, June 17 at the same time as O’Neills Healy Park hosts the other Group Four tie between Monaghan and Donegal. with both games at 6pm. All the other games are on Sunday, June 18.

In Group One, Mayo versus Cork will be played in at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick while Kerry's clash with Louth is in Portlaoise.

In Group Three, Dublin versus Sligo will be played at Kingspan Breffni before Tyrone's meeting with Westmeath while Roscommon and Kildare has been fixed for Tullamore.
