Fuming neighbours have hit out at a "dangerous" bend on a busy road which is used as a "cut-through".
Little Crosby Road, in Little Crosby, is often used by commuters travelling through Sefton who opt against going through Thornton or those travelling to or from Hightown. The road has now come under scrutiny from frustrated drivers.
The driver took to Twitter to share his views on the key route. He wrote: "The road surface in Little Crosby Rd at the bend heading towards the pensioners’ bungalows, is well-potholed and I’ve reported it to Sefton Council. Even driving in second gear the car is propelled to the left. Anyone else experiencing this?"

In a follow-up, they said: "Holes are all over the place but that place is dangerous anyway. People ignore the speed restrictions by over 10mph in St Michael’s Road."
Another frustrated resident, Paul Claridge, replied: "It’s been bad for a while but past few weeks it’s got really bad, when wet it’s really dangerous if you're going too quickly which loads do using village as a cut through. I live on the bend by St Michaels & cars fly around that corner daily."
The bend in question was the site of a serious crash in 2021 between two cars, with a 22-year-old woman dying as a result. Now questions have been raised over the road almost two years on. In response to Paul, Barry wrote: "To be fair, I’ve reported holes in Little Crosby Road twice in the past three years and the council has dealt with them all within a week.
"I just drove around the bend, which is driving me round the bend, and my car shifted a couple of feet to the left. I was doing 15 mph."
Another person added: "Not good considering the exact same corner was the scene of a deadly car crash only very recently. @seftoncouncil, you need to sort this very dangerous hairpin before someone else loses their life."
A spokesperson for Sefton Council said: “We have received one report of a potential defect on Little Crosby Road and subsequently a routine inspection by one of our Highways officers yesterday (Wednesday, February 1st) identified a small number of necessary repairs.
"Contractors working on behalf of Sefton Council have since visited the location and carried out appropriate repairs to the carriageway within hours of the initial inspection."
