Further arrest after double knife killing of boy, 15, and man, 23, in Archway

Police investigating the double knife killing of a 15-year-old boy and a 23-year-man in Archway have made another arrest.

The two victims died after witnesses saw a fight break out as a group filmed a music video in Elthorne Road last Thursday.

Leonardo Reid, 15, was named by police as the first victim of the stabbings, which occurred about 11.30pm. The second victim has not been named.

Special post-mortem examinations for both victims have given a provisional cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

On Thursday, police said they had arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of murder, who remains in custody at a north London police station.

A third victim, believed to be aged 28, remains in hospital in a non life-threatening condition with a stab wound. He was found by police at an address in Archway shortly after they were called to Elthorne Road.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the case.

A 17-year-old boy who was arrested on Monday has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 46-year-old man who was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder and attempted murder was later released “with no further action,” to be taken.
