Furious Edinburgh family slam McDonald's and Uber Eats for state of delivery meal

A furious Edinburgh family hit out at Uber Eats after receiving a McDonald's meal strewn all over the delivery bag, with the drinks leaking.

The 'fuming' family from Portobello took to Twitter today after receiving the shoddy £27 family meal from Uber Eats.

They uploaded three images that showed the state of his meal.

The Big Mac burger had burst out of its box and the meat patty, bun and salad were mixed together with fries.

Another bag shows three McDonald's drink cups but all appear to be leaking and the bag is burst.

They also told Edinburgh Live that their Mcflurries were like "frozen milk."

They claimed the delivery driver couldn't get away from their door quick enough.

Unfortunately in this circumstance frustrated customers cannot simply contact McDonald's for a replacement meal and instead have to reach out to Uber Eats for refunds.

The Twitter users @zandsaffire are from Edinburgh and say they ordered the takeaway locally, from the Fort Kinnaird branch.

The post said: "I’m Bloody Fuming @McDonaldsUK and @ubereats_uk

"Delivery driver just delivered our food like this.

"Large big macs strewn across the bag everywhere and fries were regular cold and all over the bag and the juice spilled over the bag."

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, they continued: "It was for the family.

"A large order and first ever Mcdelivery, the driver wanted to get away from our door quickly and he even handed the juice bag soaking.

"Then to open the bag and see food like that was awful, so Uber Eats said he will be severely dealt with and we will issued a refund but it still put us off tonight, even the Mcflurries looked like frozen milk - not great."

Edinburgh Live has contacted Uber Eats and McDonalds for comment.

The @zandsaffire Twitter handle represents two TV hosts, Craig and Debbz Stephens, also known as Z and Saffire.

They have recently featured on Al Murrays Pub Quiz and been listed for a TV industry award for their own Moreish TV show.
