A tragic Irishman who died after he was stabbed will be laid to rest in his hometown later this week.
Stephen Kavanagh, 37, of South Green in Arklow was knifed to death at a house in the Meadowvale housing estate in the early hours of Monday morning.
Darren Houlden, 42, was formally charged with his murder yesterday.
A death notice on RIP.ie reads: "Son of Nora and the late Raymond, sadly missed by his mother, sisters Stephanie and Kim, brother Johnny, nephews Lester, Luke and Craig. Extended family and friends. May he rest in peace."
A wake for Mr Kavanagh will take place at his home this Thursday from 3pm to 7pm.

Removal on Friday morning at 9.30am to Saints Mary and Peter's Church, Arklow for Funeral Mass at 10am.
He will be buried afterwards in St Gabriel’s Cemetery.
A relative at the home place in South Green, Arklow, told of how Mr Kavanagh's mother was in deep shock following his tragic death.

They said: “His mum Nora is not up to talking right now.
“She is in too much shock.”
A family friend added: “It’s terrible. Nora is in shock. He had only turned 37 in April, a few days ago really.
“I feel awful for her and the family.”
