A previously scheduled fundraiser for North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson has been canceled, as confirmed by a reliable source. The event was supposed to feature Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, who is the Chair of the Republican Governor's Association, but he will no longer be traveling to North Carolina for the fundraiser.

This decision comes in the wake of an investigation that uncovered numerous troubling comments made by Robinson on a porn forum over a decade ago. These revelations have sparked significant controversy and criticism surrounding the Lt. Governor.

Pressure mounts on Robinson to withdraw from the gubernatorial race.

As a result of the backlash, there is growing pressure on Robinson to withdraw from the gubernatorial race. However, the deadline for a candidate to drop out under state law was Thursday, and the first absentee ballots in North Carolina are scheduled to be mailed out on Friday.

The situation has put Robinson in a challenging position, with calls for him to address the comments he made in the past and provide clarity on his intentions moving forward in the race for governor.
