An appeal has been set up in aid of a nurse and her two young sons who leaped from a second floor window to escape a horror blaze.
The East Kilbride mum - a staff nurse - is still in hospital and will require months of rehabilitation - preventing her from working.
Lanarkshire Live reported on Sunday there was a large-scale emergency response in Denholm Green in The Murray.
The road was sealed off and specialist officers are continuing to investigate to establish the cause of the blaze in the block of flats.
Police confirmed two people were taken to hospital after jumping from the flat during the incident shortly after 2pm with three fire engines and a number of ambulances in attendance.
The JustGiving page set up by a friend and work colleague states: "A mother and two young sons were forced to jump from a second floor flat window in East Kilbride due to a fire that was not their fault.
"Police are involved. All three received injuries, mother remains in hospital and will require months of rehabilitation preventing her from working as a staff nurse. She won't get sick pay.
"This family did not deserve this - no one does."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say "enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of fire."
Police Scotland confirmed a 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with possession of an offensive weapon.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
