Fun open day at Lanarkshire station will provide an insight into the work of firefighters

A fun open day in North Lanarkshire offers the opportunity to take a closer look at the emergency work of firefighters.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are hosting an event at Motherwell Community Fire Station on August 13 between 10am and 4pm.

There will be free activities and demonstrations including a chip pan fire and fire investigation dog demos.

There will also be fire engines and specialist appliances, and Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland vehicles to explore.

Members of the public are invited to attend the open day at the fire station which is situated at 23 Dellburn Street, Motherwell, ML1 1SE.
