Full West Ham squad available for Premier League clash with Brighton amid defensive duo doubts

It’s matchday for West Ham United and David Moyes has no fresh injury concerns heading into the Premier League clash against Brighton.

After back-to-back league defeats, the Hammers head into Sunday’s fixture on the back of their first win and first goals of the season in midweek. Moyes’ side sealed a 3-1 win versus Danish side Viborg at the London Stadium in the first leg of their Europa Conference League play-off tie, with Gianluca Scamacca, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio the goalscorers.

Moyes made seven changes to the starting 11 that lost to Nottingham Forest last week, with Angelo Ogbonna brought into the side for his first appearance since returning from a long-term knee injury. The Italian defender captained the side and played 66 minutes of the European clash but Moyes plans to gradually ease the central defender into action after nine months out.

Moyes said: “I think just getting the first game [in Europe] and the first win, some of the players having their first match, was really important. Angelo for example, we probably might not have pushed him so quickly if we had other people available but we give him a chance to get back in and he’s done well so hopefully, he will not be too far away.”

Fellow centre-back Craig Dawson is still waiting for his first competitive game of the season. The 32-year-old has missed all three fixtures so far due to a quad injury but Moyes has confirmed the defender is also “not too far away” from a return.

Summer signing Nayef Aguerd remains sidelined with an ankle injury that is likely to keep him out for at least another two months. Here is the full West Ham United squad available to face Brighton on Sunday:

Goalkeepers: Lukasz Fabianski, Alphonse Areola, Darren Randolph

Defenders: Ben Johnson, Aaron Cresswell, Kurt Zouma, Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson (doubt), Angelo Ogbonna (doubt), Thilo Kehrer

Midfielders/Wingers: Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Flynn Downes, Maxwel Cornet, Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Tomas Soucek, Conor Coventry, Declan Rice

Forwards: Gianluca Scamacca, Michail Antonio
