Full Tottenham squad revealed for Southampton as Conte looks to capitalise on Man United slip

Tottenham are eager to start playing catch up in the top four race as their full squad has now been revealed for the upcoming Southampton Premier League clash.

The Lilywhites have one and three games in hand over Arsenal and Man United respectively as Antonio Conte looks to hammer home this advantage after what happened to Ralf Rangnick's side on Tuesday night.

A Jay Rodriguez equaliser for Burnley was enough for the points to be shared on a rainy evening at Turf Moor and leave both north London clubs looking to pounce on an unexpected slip up from United.

If Spurs were to win their three games in hand on Rangnick's men, then they could potentially pull six points clear of them and three ahead of Arsenal, but that is a big task.

A clash against a mid-table Southampton side probably doesn't come at an ideal time for Tottenham, especially considering the hard-earned point they picked up before the international break against Pep Guardiola's high flying Man City side.

But confidence is starting to brew in this Tottenham side with the Brighton FA Cup win coupled with new transfers that were brought in late in the window, showing that things are on an upwards trajectory for Conte's side.

However, there are a few injury concerns that will unfortunately hamper the north Londoners in this specific clash against the Saints as Conte himself confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

He said: "No news. Eric Dier is not available. It’s the same for Skipp and Tanganga. The others are all available."

On the injury to the former of the trio, Conte went on to clarify: "He had the same problems that he had in the past before playing the last game against Chelsea. He had a little muscular problem in his thigh.

"It’s not serious but the problem is in the same place as the last time, so for this reason the doctors told me to be patient and not to take risks with him. It’s a pity because you know the importance of this player to us."

Skipp's injury won't be so much as of a blow in comparison to Dier's due to the fact that new signing Rodrigo Bentancur is ready to fill that specific void.

"Honestly I hope to have him back very soon," Conte added on Skipp.

"The medical department said to me two weeks but I hope to have him available in one week or 10 days maximum. For this reason I try to push my medical department because we need Skipp to be available. We’re talking about a good and important player for Tottenham."

With all of this taken into account, football.london reveals the full compliment that Conte has at his disposal ahead of team news being released at 6:45pm.
