The full results for this year's local elections in Nottingham have been announced. People across Nottingham headed to polling stations on Thursday (May 4) to elect all 55 members of the city council.
The last time a city council election was held in 2019, Labour won 50 of the seats, whilst the Nottingham Independents won three and the Conservatives won two. Labour now has 51 councillors, with the Nottingham Independents winning three and the independents winning one. The Conservatives have been left with no councillors.
Nottingham City Council has not been led by any other party than Labour since 1988 - when the Conservative Party lost control in a by-election following just 18 months in power. Labour was the only party with a candidate for each of the 55 council seats available in this year's elections.
