Full Liverpool squad available to face Real Madrid with two new players ruled out

Liverpool return to Champions League action tonight when they take on Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Reds arrive in the Spanish capital trailing 5-2 from the first leg. That result came after Jurgen Klopp’s side raced into a 2-0 lead at Anfield.

However, Liverpool do have history on their side either as only once have they overhauled a three-goal first-leg European deficit - the famous 4-0 Champions League semi-final victory over Barcelona in 2019 at Anfield.

Speaking at his press conference on Tuesday night, Klopp revealed that Stefan Bajcetic faces a spell on the sidelines with a 'stress response' injury in his adductor, while Jordan Henderson is unavailable through illness.

Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz will also miss the game in Madrid, while Calvin Ramsay and Arthur Melo are ineligible after being axed from the club's Champions League squad after Christmas.

And below is the full Liverpool squad expected to be available to face Carlo Ancelotti’s side, barring any late injury issues.

Goalkeepers: Adrian, Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher.

Defenders: Andy Robertson, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, Kostas Tsimikas, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk.

Midfielders: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Fabinho, Fabio Carvalho, Harvey Elliott, James Milner, Naby Keita.

Forwards: Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah.
