Full Liverpool squad available to face Napoli as defender set for return after injury

Ibrahima Konate is in contention to start Liverpool's Champions League group stage finale against Napoli, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

However, Liverpool will be without Joel Matip who continues to recover from the calf injury he picked up in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the start of October.

Konate's only start this season came in the 7-1 thrashing of Rangers at Ibrox two weeks ago, but a muscle injury sustained during the Group A clash has left him unable to feature for Klopp's side since.

But in Monday's pre-match press conference, Klopp, whose side needs to win by a four-goal margin to top their group, said of Konate: "It's very good to have him back. He's ready for the squad now. He trained yesterday completely normal.

"He's had eight or nine days. That's obviously very good. He is an option"

Despite being on the Liverpool bench in recent weeks, his manager confirmed that he had not been fit to feature in either the game against Ajax or Leeds United, unless it was an emergency,

Later on in the afternoon, Jordan Henderson did not train with the rest of his team-mates but was spotted undertaking an individual session in the Kirkby gymnasium ahead of the clash with the Serie A leaders.

Additionally, youngsters Melkamu Frauendorf and Stefan Bajcetic were both involved in the session at the AXA Training Centre in the afternoon but it is expected that the young forward will be part of Barry Lewtas' under-19s squad on Tuesday afternoon. However, Bajcetic, who became the club's youngest Champions League debutant earlier this season, could be awarded a place on the bench with neither Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain nor Naby Keita eligible for the tie after being left out of the Reds' squad for the group stage.

Here is the full squad available for Tuesday evening's game.

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Adrian, Caoimhin Kelleher.

Defenders: Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Kostas Tsimikas, Nat Phillips, Virgil van Dijk, Calvin Ramsay.

Midfielders: Thiago Alcantara, Harvey Elliott, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Fabio Carvalho, James Milner, Curtis Jones, Stefan Bajcetic.

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Roberto Firmino.

Out: Naby Keita, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Arthur Melo, Joel Matip.
