Full Liverpool squad available for Watford as midfielder doubtful

Liverpool return to Premier League action this weekend as they welcome Watford to Anfield. The Reds take on the Hornets in their first match after the March international break.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently one point behind leaders Manchester City, and could go over their title races with victory over Watford. Liverpool are on early kick-off duty on Saturday while City take on Burnley two hours later.

While Liverpool will be looking to claim all three points, they may be without a couple of key players. There are still question marks over the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita.

Klopp has confirmed that Alexander-Arnold has returned to full training, but did not say whether or not the right-back will feature against Watford. However, Keita has not yet returned to training and Klopp said he didn't know if the Guinea international would be available.

Speaking about Alexander-Arnold, Klopp said: “Trent trained yesterday in parts and will be in full training today, and we’ll have to see what we do with it. “He wanted to go to the national team, just to make sure everybody (knows), but he couldn’t.

“If you could see the scans, with these pictures you cannot go anywhere. But sometimes injuries, thank god, are not that serious that you are out for five or six weeks, sometimes it’s two weeks and that’s the case with Trent

“It will be tight for tomorrow but it’s possible from what I hear. It’s different if you are part of team training, it depends on what you could do before and he was with our rehab and fitness department.

”It was really intense what he did before he trained with us. Physically he should be fine, but I have to make the decision about rhythm and these kinds of things.”
