The UK is in the midst of a heatwave, with meteorologists predicting that temperatures could surpass 40C this week.
Forecasters claim the mercury is likely to surge and reach between the mid-30s or even up to 40C on Monday (July 18) and Tuesday (July 19).
A red extreme heat warning has been issued for parts of the UK, suggesting the heat could be a danger to life.
The Met Office recommends Brits make changes in their daily routines to ensure they are keeping safe in the heat.
In particular, several schools across England have said they will be closing completely while others will be closing early or changing uniform rules for "the safety of pupils".

Four schools in Worcestershire, all part of the Mercian Educational Trust (MET), will be closing on Monday.
In a letter to parents, they said: "Our school sites and environments are not designed to comfortably accommodate pupils and staff at the anticipated temperatures for prolonged periods of time."
The MET added it will be making a decision on whether to open or not on Tuesday by 1pm on Monday.
A fifth school in Worcestershire, called Pershore High School, will also be closing.
This comes after Worcestershire County Council told schools to take action to prepare for the heatwave, advising hem to "cancel all non-essential activities to ensure the safety of staff and pupils."
A further eight schools in Nottinghamshire will be closed on both Monday and Tuesday to protect the "welfare of all our students and staff' as the "potential impact" could be significant.
St Christopher's special school in Lincoln said it couldn't keep the buildings cool enough for pupils on Monday and Tuesday, and would be closing, while Thomas Middlecott Academy in Boston is providing remote learning.
In South Yorkshire, The Forest Academy and Oakhill Primary Academy are also closing to all pupils due to the heat.
Meanwhile in North Yorkshire, Bedale High School will be shut today and tomorrow, expressing concerns over "unbearable" conditions in classrooms and a "small number" of water stations.
Co-op Academy Grange and Co-Op Academy Southfield in Bradford, West Yorkshire are also closing due to water supply issues.
In Sheffield, Grenoside Community Primary School will shut and High Storrs School is cancelling its sports day.
One teacher in Leeds, John Robertson, shared an image to Twitter showing the mercury had hit 26.8C in their classroom as early as 7am.
An academy in Hertfordshire has changed its timetable so students can leave earlier, as will Clapton Girls Academy in east London, while Ralph Thoresby School in Leeds is encouraging students to work from home in the afternoon.
Plume Academy in Maldon and Sydney Russell School in Dagenham are both closing early and relaxing their uniform requirements too.
Marlbrook, Little Dewchurch and St Martin’s Primary School are four schools in the Herefordshire that will give parents the option to choose whether their children go in at all on Monday.
Other schools, such as Finham Park School in Coventry, Skinners' Kent Academy, in Tunbridge Wells and the Co-op Academy Swinton in Greater Manchester, and Great Dunham Primary in Norfolk, are allowing students to wear PE kit instead of uniform, and are recommending they wear hats, put sunscreen on, and drink water consistently.
School events such as spots days, and DoE expeditions are being postponed until the temperature is more manageable.
The DfE said: “We aren’t advising schools to close during high temperatures, but school leaders should make sure they take any steps necessary to make sure children are safe and comfortable.”
Parents and school teachers are, however, being asked to keep an eye on students for heatstroke and heat stress, as children sweat less and cannot regulate their body temperature.
