Full list of people eligible for £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment

From tomorrow (June 20), people all across the UK receiving disability benefits will receive a £150 cash boost.

The Disability Cost of Living Payment will be issued by the Department for Work and Pension (DWP) as a one-off automatic payment. However, not all disabilty benefit claimants will be able to receive the extra cash without meeting a specific set of criteria.

In order to receive the cash boost, eligible claimants must have received a payment from a qualifying benefit for April 1 of this year. According to the DWP, these are the benefits which qualify someone for the payment:

  • Disability Living Allowance for children
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Adult Disability Payment (in Scotland)
  • Child Disability Payment (in Scotland)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • War Pension Mobility Supplement

It's important to note that payments will be made automatically so there is no need to apply if you believe you're eligible. The final payments are expected to be made by July 4.

Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride MP, said: “This payment helps protect those who need our support the most, providing a vital financial boost to six million disabled people. Our multi-billion-pound package of support reinforces our commitment to help UK households with the rising cost of living. It comes on top of record increases to benefits and the national living wage.”

Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work, Tom Pursglove MP, said: “We know the cost of living has gone up for disabled people, which is why we are taking action to reduce the financial pressures they face. This £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment is on top of up to £900 that most low-income benefit claimants will also receive, helping ensure the most vulnerable in our society are protected from rising costs during this challenging period.”
