Ireland is in for a rough time over the next 48 hours as heavy rain and galeforce winds batter the entire country.
Several warnings are in place for counties nationwide, from status yellow to red as coastal counties are in for the worst of heavy conditions.
It is due to be blustery tonight with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, increasing very strong to gale force in western and southern coastal areas with some damaging gusts.

Showers will merge to long spells of rain with some wintry falls of hail and sleet possible as well as thunder. Lowest temperatures of 0C to 4C.
It will then be very windy countrywide on Wednesday with very strong to gale force and gusty northwest winds and some severe gusts especially in the northwest.
Showers or longer spells of rain are also forecast, with local downpours and the chance of hail and thunder. Some sunny spells too.
Winds will abate from the southwest through the evening. Highest temperatures of 6C to 10C.
