Grand National 2019 runners - full list of horses and latest odds

The biggest horse race on the calendar takes places today.

The Randox Health Grand National sets off at 5.15pm and as ever it will be the biggest day of the year for bookies up and down the country and online.

The pro gamblers will have already made their mind up but if you're just placing a casual bet, these are all the horses to look out for.

There are 40 runners including last year's winner Tiger Roll who's looking to become the first horse to win back-to-back Grand Nationals since Red Rum.

You can bet safe and choose the favourites or just go for a name you like the look of.

The full confirmed runners list was updated Thursday morning.

      How to watch the race

The race at Aintree near Liverpool is watched by over 60 million people each year and for the third year in a row, ITV will show the race.

Aintree is the most famous horse racing track in the world and the steeplechase has been run at that location since it was first formed back in 1839.

Last year’s winner, Tiger Roll, is running again and trying to become the first horse since the mighty Red Rum in 1973 and 1974 to win back-to-back Grand Nationals.
