It is no secret that Derry is full of fantastic culinary venues.
With a vibrant mix of destinations inhabiting the city, it can often be difficult to pick your favourite.
Many of Derry's amazing bars, cafes and restaurants received accolades for their efforts at the Irish Restaurant Ulster Regional Awards.

There was sheer delight as the announcements were made at the ceremony, as many different Derry institutions picked up awards, some collecting more than one.
Here is a full list of the Derry winners at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
- Local Food Hero was won by Pyke n Pommes
- Best Sustainable Practices went to the City Hotel
- Innovator of the Year was awarded to BRON
- 'Free From' was won by Cedar Restaurant
- Best Emerging Irish Cuisine went to The Sooty Olive
- Best Restaurant Manager was awarded to District 45 restaurant, Magherafelt
- Best Wine Experience was picked up by Artis Derry
- Best Cafe was won by The Pickled Duck Cafe
- Best World Cuisine was awarded to Mekong Street Food
- Best Newcomer was picked up by Coupe
- Pub of the Year went to Sandinos Bar
- Best Casual Dining was awarded to El Tapas Gra
- Best Hotel and Guesthouse went to the Bishops Gate Hotel
- Best Customer Service was picked up by Shipquay Hotel
- Best Gastro Pub was awarded to the Walled City Brewery
- Best Chef was won by Browns Restaurant
- Best Restaurant was also won by Browns Restaurant
The winners will now go forward to the All-Ireland final, taking place in May.
