Conor Gallagher has won Crystal Palace's Player of the Year award following a stellar campaign in red and blue.
The 22-year-old midfielder signed on loan from Chelsea last summer and immediately endeared himself to fans for his tireless efforts in the middle of the park and his eye for goal. Gallagher has scored eight times for the Eagles so far this term, making him the joint top-scorer for the club from open play along with Wilfried Zaha.
Speaking to a room full of teammates, staff and Crystal Palace fans, Gallagher said upon receiving his award: “Its massive. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart I can’t thank the fans enough. You’ve been brilliant from the first day and I've loved every minute of playing for Crystal Palace. I want to thank the players and the staff as well, because they’ve been unreal. I really appreciate it, so thank you so much. There have been a few highlights, it’s hard to pick one. But Manchester City, that win there and scoring was an amazing feeling.”

Gallagher was also up for Goal of the Season but conceded the prize to Zaha, who took home the award for his brilliant, curling goal against Norwich at Carrow Road earlier in the season. The other big award of the night went to Marc Guehi, with him being voted as the Players' Player of the Year after being a virtual ever-present at the back for Patrick Vieira's side.
