A total of 70 candidates will contest the council elections in Derry city and Strabane district on May 18.
With 40 seats available, spread across seven electoral areas, at least 30 candidates will fail to make it across the line when the votes are counted on May 19.
Sinn Fein are standing the most candidates with 18 in total, followed by the SDLP's 15 candidates and Alliance, People Before Profit and the DUP with seven each.

Aontu and the UUP have put forward five candidates each, while Derry and Strabane will see six independents hoping to make it across the line.
Last time around, in 2019, Sinn Fein and the SDLP emerged neck-and-neck with 11 councillors each.
The DUP won seven, while the UUP, Alliance Party, and People Before Profit each returned two councillors each. Aontu won a single seat with four independents elected to the council.
The Waterside ward will see seven councillors elected, Faughan five, Derg five, Sperrin seven, The Moor five, Foyleside five, and Ballyarnett six.
