Full list of Bassetlaw District Council 2023 election candidates

Labour will be looking to defend its strong majority on Bassetlaw District Council when elections are held on May 4. Bassetlaw, covering areas including Worksop and Retford, will be one of the eight local authorities across Nottinghamshire for which elections will be held next month.

The last election for Bassetlaw in 2019 saw Labour winning 37 of the 48 seats available, with the Conservatives winning five, independent candidates winning five and the Liberal Democrats winning one. Notable candidates in this year's election include Jo White, who has been selected as Labour's candidate for Bassetlaw MP at next year's general election, with the seat previously being held by her husband John Mann.

The Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats will all be fielding candidates again in this year's Bassetlaw elections, along with independent and Green candidates. Below are the full list of those seeking election to Bassetlaw District Council on May 4.
