Everyone in the UK looks forward to a Bank Holiday as for most it means extra time off work and school.
This year 2022 saw extra public holidays on top of the usual eight. The nation used the additional Bank Holidays to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June as well as the late monarch's funeral in September.
Celebrations for the Royal Family could once again land us extra days off in 2023. King Charles III's Coronation date has been announced as Saturday, May 6, and there are questions now being asked as to whether or not there will be a bank holiday to mark the occasion.

But before we look forward to what is to come next year, we still have Christmas coming up for 2022. This year Christmas and New Year both fall on weekends meaning that the normal Bank Holidays have been moved - A move always occurs if a bank holiday falls on a weekend.
