The full line-up has been released for this year’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival in Tynemouth, with big artists such as Siouxsie Sioux, Paul Heaton, Gabrielle and The Proclaimers.
The event runs from July 6-9, with other performances from some of the world’s best street entertainers, and a parade involving hundreds of local schoolchildren.
Tynemouth Front Street will be the home of these acts that have come from around the world, as well as a jazz stage and a pop-up silent disco for up to 100 people at a time.

An army of street performers will be present at the event, including comedy jugglers and acrobats. Some of the shows will also be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.
Saturday morning is when the huge community parade will take place, and Tynemouth Station's popular weekend market will run alongside a community stage, arts activities, and a special play area for children under five.
The Elected Mayor for North Tyneside, Dame Norma Redfearn DBE said:“We’re all really looking forward to this year’s festival as there’s so much to see and do. It’s an incredible location for the event and I know there’ll be a great many people excited to be part of it, either participating or visiting.”
Gabrielle’s sold-out show on the Sunday features several local artists such as Big Red and The Grinners, Lily Brooke and Jen and Liv, a duo who discovered their love for performing whilst busking in Newcastle three years ago.
Scottish twins The Proclaimers play on Thursday, July 6, Siouxsie Sioux will perform on Friday, July 7. Then on Saturday, July 8 Paul Heaton from The Beautiful South and The Housemartins will take to the stage. Finally Gabrielle will end the festival with her show on Sunday July 9.
The festival was established in 2005 and is one of the region’s biggest arts events, attracting over 100,000 visitors each year.
