Full details of Titans’ trade with Cardinals to draft Will Levis

The Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals struck a deal at the top of the second round that allowed Tennessee to move up and draft Kentucky QB Will Levis.

The terms of the deal are as follows, per the Cardinals: Arizona receives pick Nos. 41, 72 and a 2024 third-rounder, while the Titans get pick Nos. 33 and 81.

And, of course, with that No. 33 pick, the Titans drafted the Kentucky signal-caller to be their next franchise quarterback. Levis marks the second Day 2 pick the Titans have used on a quarterback in two years (Malik Willis).

When you put aside your feelings for the individual player, that’s not a bad trade to move up, and that’s especially true if Levis ends up panning out under center for the next decade-plus, but I have my doubts.

Now, things get interesting.

Do the Titans view Levis as a Year 1 starter, which would likely lead to them parting ways with Ryan Tannehill? Or will the Titans deploy Tannehill for one more year and allow Levis to develop?

Adding to that, where does Malik Willis fit into all this and could the Titans move him now that he’s seemingly expendable?

We can only wait for the answers to those questions.
