Full Chelsea squad for Borussia Dortmund Champions League clash revealed after major injury blow

Stamford Bridge was made for huge Champions League nights and there's yet another one on the cards on Tuesday. Chelsea host Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in a round of 16 second leg clash that will decide which side will progress to the latter stages and which will crash out of the competition.

The score is currently sat at 1-0 to the German outfit as Karim Adeyemi's solo run and finish was enough to give them the victory at the Signal Iduna Park. While the defeat will have been disappointing, it's far from an unachievable turnaround, with the Blues requiring that home advantage to swing the fixture in their favour.

"It’s a big game, an exciting game, a chance to go through to the last eight of the Champions League," Graham Potter told the media ahead of the match. "It will be a special night at Stamford Bridge, so we’re really looking forward to that. All our thoughts are on being positive, winning the game, and going through. In terms of what we learned from the previous game [against Dortmund] they are a top opponent.

"You can see from their results in the Bundesliga, they are in a fantastic vein of form, winning games constantly. That tells you as a team they are doing a lot well. Attack and defend, good individuals, well coached. So it’s a big challenge for us but we’re excited for it."

Unfortunately for the under-pressure head coach, there will be some absences from his squad for the huge match ahead. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Benoit Badiashile, Noni Madueke and David Datro Fofana cannot feature due to registration restrictions, Mason Mount will be unavailable due to a suspension.

Add to that an injury blow in missing long-term absentee Armando Broja as well as Thiago Silva, N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Cesar Azpilicueta and doubts over whether Reece James will feature, it could be a testing night for the squad at Potter's disposal.

Goalkeepers : Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli, Lucas Bergstrom.
