Full Chelsea squad availability, injuries and suspensions for Real Madrid Champions League clash

Chelsea will need all their resources to make it past Real Madrid in the Champions League as Frank Lampard prepares to take his side into battle at Stamford Bridge tonight (Tuesday). The Blues face a daunting task as they prepare to face Carlo Ancelotti's seasoned and experienced European giants but hope isn't lost yet.

It may be five games since Chelsea last won and Lampard's return has thus far fallen flat but the Champions League does strange things and even channelling some of the spirit from last season's remarkable second leg attempt will help conjure up some optimism.

Chelsea are underdogs and aren't expected to progress but with the help of some Lampardian motivation, Thiago Silva coolness, N'Golo Kante energy and the promise of even a shot at goal, it's far from game over. There is still a long way to go but for another season the dream of a third Champions League trophy win hasn't died.
