Full Carabao Cup first round draw as Bolton host Salford & Wigan travel to Fleetwood

Bolton Wanderers will host Salford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The draw pits Wanderers against the Ammies in a tie at the University of Bolton Stadium. It will be the third meeting between the two sides.

The teams last played one another during the 2020/21 season when both teams were in League Two. Wanderers won both times as they achieved promotion to League One.

Elsewhere in the draw - which was split into Northern and Southern sections - Wigan Athletic face a trip to Fleetwood Town. Stockport County, recently promoted back to the EFL, face a trip to Harrogate Town.

Rochdale will host Burton Albion. The ties are penciled in for the week beginning August 8, with the new season will starting on July 30, so cup games will take place between the second and third league fixtures.
