Full Bristol Rovers fixtures for 2019/20 League One season - Blackpool and Wycombe Wanderers to start

Get your calendars out and weekends booked because the League One fixtures are out.

And travelling Gasheads have got their wish with a popular away day to kick things off at Blackpool on Saturday, August 3.

After that trip to the north west it's back to the Mem with Wycombe Wanderers the first visitors of the new season.

Coventry City, and a game at their new home of St Andrews, then completes the first three fixtures with plenty of Sky Blues connections in the Rovers squad in Jonson Clarke-Harris, Abu Ogogo and new defender Tom Davies.

The Mem plays host to a number of agreeable fixtures to start the campaign with newly-promoted Tranmere, Oxford United, Accrington Stanley and Gillingham visiting before the end of September.

Rovers are at home on Boxing Day to AFC Wimbledon in a festive doubled-header at the Mem with Peterborough coming to town on Saturday, December 21. Indeed, the first half of the season features three sets of back-to-back home games.

As a result, it's two testing away days over the New Year at Fleetwood on Sunday, December 29 and the newly promoted MK Dons on January 1.

The away day all Rovers fans look out for arrives on Saturday, February 22 with a trip to the Stadium of Light to take on league heavyweights Sunderland.

The Gas also close the campaign predominantly on their travels with four of the last six matches beyond the Mem concluding with Gillingham at Priestfield on May 3, the final day of the season.
