Full Ashfield District Council 2023 local election results

The results of this year's local elections in Ashfield have been confirmed, with the Ashfield Independents increasing their majority despite a turbulent few years. Voters in the area headed to the polls on Thursday (May 4) to elect the 35 members of its district council.

The 2019 election saw the Ashfield Independents winning 30 of the 35 seats available and the party fielded 35 candidates this time. The Ashfield Independents first took control of Ashfield District Council in 2018 after a vote of no confidence in the Labour leadership.

The vote came after two Labour councillors, Lee Anderson and Chris Baron, left the party to join the Conservatives. Below are all the results of this year's elections in Ashfield, which saw the Ashfield Independents winning 32 seats, the Conservatives winning two and Labour winning one.
