After suffering only their second defeat of the season on Thursday in the Europa League against PSV, Arsenal will have their sights set on a return to winning ways when they welcome Nottingham Forest to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday. Mikel Arteta's side were far below their best as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat in Holland on Thursday ending their 100% winning start to the Europa League.
The loss to Ruud van Nistelrooy's side came after the Gunners drew with Southampton in the Premier League last Sunday with Granit Xhaka's early strike being cancelled out by Stuart Armstrong just past the hour mark.
Arsenal have been fast starters in the Premier League this season, scoring first in nine of their 11 Premier League games but have faced criticism for their recent second half performances with many crucial first-team players featuring in both league and European action possibly suffering from fatigue.

However, Arteta's side have looked superb at home and when they welcome Steve Cooper's side, who sit bottom of the table, to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, the expected outcome will be a win for the hosts.
Forest have improved though in recent weeks beating Liverpool at the City Ground last weekend after keeping out Brighton a few days earlier and will fancy their chances of another upset this weekend.
As for team news, Arsenal are still without long-term absentees such as Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe while Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is struggling with a calf injury, is expected to miss out after not making the trip to the Netherlands.
Arteta could also be without Brazilian defender Gabriel after he was seen limping as he left the stadium following the defeat to PSV while his fellow countrymen Marquinhos could make a return to the matchday squad after missing the Europa League defeat through illness. Matt Turner also missed Thursday's match and is a major doubt for the weekend.
With that all in mind, let's take a look at the squad available to Arteta on Sunday.
Goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale, Matt Turner (major doubt), Karl Hein
Defenders: Kieran Tierney, Gabriel (major doubt), Rob Holding, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, William Saliba, Cedric Soares.
Midfielders: Albert Sambi Lokonga, Granit Xhaka, Fabio Vieira, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Catalin Cirjan, Matthew Smith, Bradley Ibrahim
Forwards: Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, Maquinhos (doubt), Reiss Nelson, Khayon Edwards
