Full Arsenal squad revealed for Newcastle clash as Mikel Arteta makes Gabriel decision

Arsenal take on Newcastle United today as the north Londoners look to keep their Premier League title hopes alive.

Following Manchester City's 2-1 victory over Leeds United yesterday, Mikel Arteta's side now sit four points behind the league leaders with each team having played 34 times in the league this term. There are now just four games remaining for the two title rivals and the Gunners' first is a tricky one as they travel up north to take on the Magpies at St James' Park.

Arsenal lost 2-0 on Tyneside 12 months ago and the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium when they met this season back in January. If the visitors can secure all three points in this one, they will guarantee a top-two finish for the season, a feat they haven't managed since finishing runners-up to Leicester City back in 2016.

On Tuesday evening, the Gunners snapped a four-game winless run by beating London rivals Chelsea 3-1 thanks to a brace from Martin Odegaard and a Gabriel Jesus finish. However, defender Gabriel Magalhaes was forced off in the second half after appearing to pick up some kind of knock.

football.london understands that it was an ankle injury that forced him off before receiving treatment in the dressing room. However, he conducted post-match media duties with international broadcasters as usual upon his exit from the Emirates Stadium.

"We will have to see tomorrow how he is," Arteta explained during his pre-match press conference on Friday. "He couldn't finish the game, so that's obviously a big sign.

"We will see how he is tomorrow." The north London outfit's other first-choice centre-back William Saliba remains sidelined due to a lower back concern whilst Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny are also long-term absentees.

With that said, here's a look at the full squad that's available to Arteta heading into the match on Tyneside.

Goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale, Matt Turner, Karl Hein.

Defenders: Ben White, *Gabriel Magalhaes (doubt), Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Lino Sousa, Jakub Kiwior.
