Manchester United head to the English capital to take on Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, and we’ve got the latest team news and confirmed lineups, as well as a prediction included in our preview.
Fulham vs Manchester United Preview
Fresh off the back of a 2-1 victory over Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday night, Manchester United head to the English capital to take on Fulham in Gameweek 23 of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
United took an early second-half lead over their Scottish counterparts thanks to a Jack Butland own-goal in midweek, and club captain Bruno Fernandes sealed the win in injury time after Cyriel Dessers’ 88th minute leveller.
It provided a bounce-back response from their 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the league last weekend, where Yankubah Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter scored a goal apiece as the Seagulls ran riot at Old Trafford.
That result means that Ruben Amorim‘s side have won just one of their last six league matches, a 3-1 triumph over bottom-of-the-table Southampton, leaving them in a lowly 13th place in the English top-flight table.

Fulham, meanwhile, are seven points ahead of Sunday’s visitors, up in 10th place, and they come into this one having recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over relegation strugglers Leicester City last Saturday.
Marco Silva’s side have impressed for the most part this term and have suffered just two defeats across their last 15 matches across all competitions. This run includes several impressive results, such as draws with Arsenal, Bournemouth, and league leaders Liverpool, as well as wins over Brentford, Brighton, and Chelsea.
The Cottagers last went head-to-head with Manchester United in Gameweek 1, where the Red Devils narrowly prevailed 1-0 courtesy of Joshua Zirkzee’s first goal for the club. Their last meeting at Craven Cottage also ended in a 1-0 win for United, with Fernandes netting an injury-time winner when they met back in November 2023.
Fulham Team News
In terms of injury absentees, the hosts remain without Kenny Tete (knee) and Reiss Nelson (thigh).
Arsenal loanee Nelson has made his return to first-team training; however, his return is being managed carefully, and he isn’t expected to feature for Fulham before their FA Cup fourth round clash against Wigan next month.
While he remains out, the Cottagers will likely opt to remain with the same attacking four, with Raul Jimenez leading the line, supported by Harry Wilson, Emile Smith Rowe, and Alex Iwobi. Adama Traore is also an option after scoring his side’s second in the win over Leicester as a second-half substitute last weekend.
Manchester United Team News
As for the Red Devils, they are still without Jonny Evans (muscular), Luke Shaw (calf), and Mason Mount (thigh), while Victor Lindelof (unspecified) is also expected to miss out on the trip to West London.
Elsewhere, Noussair Mazraoui (knock), Matthijs de Ligt (knock), and Leny Yoro (muscle fatigue) are all doubts due to their respective concerns and face late fitness tests ahead of the clash.

Fulham vs Manchester United Prediction
Based on recent league form, it comes as little surprise to see Fulham as 23/20 favourites among the UK’s best football betting sites, while a Manchester United win is priced at 12/5 and a draw is valued at 5/2.
That being said, recent meetings between the pair undoubtedly favour the Red Devils, as they have prevailed in eight out of their last 10 head-to-heads in all competitions, with the Cottagers winning just one and the other ending in a draw.
With that considered, as well as Fulham’s knack for drawing matches in recent weeks (five of their last eight in the league), we at SportsCasting are predicting a 1-1 stalemate to be played out at Craven Cottage.
Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Manchester United
