Fulham will make a late decision on whether Adama Traore is fit enough to feature against Brighton.

The Cottagers are the visitors to the Amex Stadium on Saturday as they return to Premier League matters following their dramatic FA Cup last-16 victory over Manchester United on penalties last Sunday.

Traore started that match at Old Trafford but was replaced after 53 minutes for Emile Smith Rowe with an ankle injury, and could be seen hobbling to join his team-mates in celebration once Fulham had won the penalty shootout.

Ahead of the away trip against Brighton, manager Marco Silva explained the latest on his injury recovery.

“He’s still a doubt,” said Silva. “We are going to have another session tomorrow [Friday], and afterwards we are going to take a decision on the game and the players that are going to be in contention for the game.

“Adama, let’s see tomorrow. He was on the [training] pitch this afternoon doing some individual work. Let’s see tomorrow how he’s going to react, and we’ll make a decision.”

Long-term absentees Reiss Nelson, Harry Wilson and Kenny Tete remain out of contention, while the suspended midfielder Sasa Lukic will also not feature at the Amex.

Silva has been nominated for the Premier League’s manager of the month award for February, and responded to his nomination.

“What gave me more satisfaction is that the team reacted really well after a very good end of November and December,” Silva said.

“The load of the games was very big, and January as a month was not the best.“For me to be there means that the team did well in February.

For me, that’s the most important thing. The reaction from the team has been really good. We have been performing well.”
