Fuel Delivered To Kamal Adwan Hospital In Gaza

Palestinians inspect damages following an Israeli raid at Kamal Adwan hospital in the northern Gaza Strip

Fuel has been successfully delivered to the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza on Saturday, following concerns that the hospital would run out of energy needed to power life-saving equipment. Fares Afana, head of emergency services in northern Gaza, confirmed that a fuel truck entered the hospital complex and began pumping fuel.

Dr. Hussam Abu Saifiya, the hospital director, had warned that patients' lives were at risk if fuel supplies were not allowed into the area. He stated that previous attempts to bring in fuel were thwarted by the Israeli military.

In response to allegations of blocking fuel deliveries, the Israel Defense Forces explained that a medical convoy intended to transfer patients from Kamal Adwan Hospital to Gaza City had to be canceled for security reasons in the past three days. However, the convoy successfully arrived at the hospital on October 12th with a supply of fuel for the hospital.
