A property has been put on the market in Merseyside, that’s described as being "hidden away".
The three bedroom detached bungalow is elevated above Pine Walks, Prenton, up a winding driveway. Called The Chalet, the bungalow is set on a large plot of private land, with “magnificent” secluded gardens.
In need of some repair and modernisation, the home could be a development project for the right buyer. It’s listed with Barrington Caddick for £750,000.

According to Rightmove’s sales data, properties in Prenton had an overall average price of £193,846 over the last year. Most of the sales in the area during the last 12 months were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £220,763.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £125,392, with flats fetching £126,207. Overall, sold prices in Prenton over the last year were 6% down on the previous year and 18% up on the 2019 peak of £164,235.
Despite there not being specific data on detached bungalows, recently sold and under offer properties within less than a mile away give an insight on how similar homes are priced. Other three bedroom homes have sold after being listed for £1,020,000 , £715,000 and £825,000 on Burrell Road.
Homes currently under offer after being recently put on the market include, a £365,000 home on Menlo Close and a £775,000 property on Storeton Lane. Images of the home show that it’s frozen in time and would need some renovation work.
However the foundations are there, with a spacious lounge and separate dining room, bedrooms overlooking the gardens, off road parking and a large garage. The estate agents claim with the correct “vision” the home could be a great opportunity for someone to transform the property.
The Barrington Caddick listing reads: “Proudly standing in an exclusive part of Prenton, this is a wonderful opportunity to potentially re-develop the existing detached bungalow set in extensive and private gardens. Whether demolish, redesign or even undertake an extensive scheme of re modernisation, this is a unique and rare chance to acquire an existing detached bungalow presently offering substantial accommodation.
“Pine Walks being such a desirable location to live and with being hidden away with its elevated location, The Chalet’s secluded position provides a private setting for any type of dwelling with the appropriate planning consent.”
