DENVER — A woman gave birth to a baby aboard a Frontier flight from Denver International Airport on the way to Orlando, the airline said in a Facebook post.
Diana Giraldo, a flight attendant aboard the plane, helped the woman to the restroom and aided in the birth, Frontier said Tuesday.
Capt. Chris Nye said that dispatch had them land early in Pensacola, with a gate and paramedics ready for the woman and her baby.
Nye said that Giraldo’s actions were “exemplary” and “calm.”
“The whole crew did a great job,” Nye said.
The woman chose the middle name Sky for the new baby as a result of the incident, Frontier said.
