Front desk at the Irifune Onsen public bath in Hirano Ward, Osaka, is interacting with customers from a separate room through a TV screen, to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

Customers show their tickets to a small camera by the TV, and the staff check them before allowing people to use the baths.

"Some people don't have a bath at home," said operator Gaku Otsubo. "I want to do the best I can to help local people, to maintain the community infrastructure."
