From Shag Pad Fails To Love Triangles: 11 Of The Most Chaotic Moments From Aussie Shore So Far

Aussie Shore

Folks, Aussie Shore has finally arrived, and boy, it’s a doozy. Filled with wild antics, Charlotte Crosby discovering dental dams, and some outrageous confessions, this show really has it all.

For those wanting a slice of nostalgia or looking for some peak reality TV, Aussie Shore is perfection. It’s the Aussie version of the iconic Geordie Shore and Jersey Shore, which spawned celebs like Snooki and Chloe Ferry. For this new iteration, MTV icon Charlotte Crosby is back as House Boss — so you just know the new housemates are in for a wild ride.

It’s a simple premise: 10 party-loving singletons get shoved into a house together and chaos ensues. They’ll have the time of their life living it up in the party town of Cairns, but as you all know, there’s always a catch. The group will be put to work by House Boss Charlotte to earn their keep, and some of these folks haven’t worked a day in their life. There’ll be hookups, breakups, fights and more, so you betcha it’s about to get verrrry messy.

PEDESTRIAN.TV is SO excited about this show, we’re even hosting a special event to celebrate. We’re turning the GC into a mini-Aussie Shore on Sunday October 20, 2024 on the Surfers Paradise Esplanade (opposite the Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club) from 12pm–5pm, and it’s completely free! There’ll be vibey DJs, free tanning booths and a possible chance to rub shoulders with the cast.

The first two eps of Aussie Shore are available to stream on Paramount+, and honestly, my jaw was open the entire time. From love triangles and backhanded comments to a tearful exit, this show is gonna have you hooked.

11 chaotic moments from Aussie Shore… so far

1. Catia announces she’s Con’s wife

Aussie Shore Catia and Con
These two are cute together! (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

The first Aussie Shore housemates to be introduced are fiery Italian Catia and barber Con. When Con finds her working out in the backyard, the chemistry is electric. The pair get to know each other over some drinks, and Catia announces out of nowhere that she’s Con’s wife. And no, this isn’t some new reality TV show twist — she was just joking. But who knows what’ll happen by the end of the show?! It’s early days yet, but my money’s on these two becoming the next Charlotte and Gary.

2. Nardos asserts herself as the chaotically passive-aggressive one of the group

Okay, but I’m in love with Nardos. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

The Shore family are a rowdy bunch, and you can meet the entire group here. Honestly? I’m living for Nardos’ energy. She gives off that vibe of ~never worked a day in my life~ and totally leans into it. She isn’t afraid to spout off some backhanded comments, calling another cast mate “trashy” and declaring herself the hotter one. The ideal reality TV participant, TBH!

3. Catia’s detailed body count list

This pic screams organised chaos to me. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

Naturally, the topic of body counts came up during episode one. While some housemates were a little coy with their numbers, Catia whipped out a list of every single person she’s slept with. We love an organised queen! Some of the 76 trysts sounded disappointing, to say the least — I’m looking at you Don, for passing out after 10 seconds. Do better!

4. Truth or Dare results in the first Aussie Shore kiss

Oh Tom, I can feel your pain from here. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

There’s a lil’ love triangle already established in the first episode, with both Con and Tom having their eyes on Lily, a self-described “professional flirter”. So, when Con gets dared to kiss Lily for three seconds, Tom looks like he wants to die. Sorry buddy, it looks like you’re losing this battle!

5. Con and Lily’s epic fail in the shag pad

Well, this didn’t go to plan. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)
Possibly the most awkward ‘morning-after’ scene on television, like ever. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

Soooo… just like Catia’s sad tryst with Don, Con and Lily didn’t fare so well when trying out the shag pad for the first time. Let’s just say Con wasn’t able to rise to the occasion, and the convo where they try to explain what (didn’t) happen the next morning is SO awkward and hilarious. Kyle declares that Con had “whiskey dick”, while the other housemates delight in ribbing Con for ages.

6. Gabby leaves the Aussie Shore house in secret

Do what you need to do, girl! (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

While the housemates are out partying, Gabby packs up her things and leaves a note — she doesn’t feel like the Aussie Shore house is for her.

“I’m always the outsider, or the one that doesn’t make as many friends or hangs out with everyone,” she says in a tearful confessional.

Not wanting to make a scene, she slips out in the dead of night. I wonder if she’ll make an appearance again later in the season?

7. Charlotte Crosby whips the housemates into shape

The Boss has arrived. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

House Boss Charlotte Crosby arrives in episode two and decides to wake up the hungover bunch by whacking a pot with a spoon. It’s low-key torture for these folks! After being horrified by the disgusting state of the house, she sets three house rules. And yep, they’re very Charlotte.

First, the housemates have to keep the house nice and tidy. Next, there can’t be any arguments that last longer than two days. And finally… everybody has to shave their pubes.

8. Charlotte Crosby discovers dental dams

Well, looks like Charlotte got a bit of a tutorial. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

This might be the best scene from episode two. When Charlotte comes across a bunch of dental dams in the shag pad, Catia asks if she used them back on Geordie Shore

Charlotte looks horrified and screeches, “Is it a condom for a woman? What in the Down Under fuckery is this?”

Once Catia demonstrates how to use a dental dam, the House Boss pockets the dental dam for *later*. Icon behaviour.

9. The Aussie Shore cast get put to work

Nardos had such ‘go girl, give me nothing’ energy and I love it. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)
Are they washing the cars or each other? Hard to know. (Image: Paramount+ Australia).

Part of the true Shore experience means the cast has to earn their keep. And look, this is a little hard when you’re hungover 90% of the time. The first job is relatively easy, with the group putting on a sexy car wash for the Cairns locals. Only problem? The group seem to be getting themselves wetter than the actual cars. At least they have fun doing it!

10. Aussie Bogan Lexie shakes things up and creates a new love triangle

Lexie and Tom
Everyone found this moment cute, apart from Lily. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

After Aussie Bogan Lexie arrives, she well and truly catches the attention of Tom. You know, the guy who was desperately pining after Lily during the first episode. After Tom and Lexie share a pash on the nightclub dance floor, the green-eyed monster inside of Lily is well and truly activated. I reckon this love triangle is gonna stretch out for yonnnnnks.

11. The Con and Catia romance truly begins

Catia and Con kissing
These two are the real deal, I swear. (Image: Paramount+ Australia)

Look, Con has had his eye on a few other women in the house, but my gut is telling me he’ll always find his way back to Catia. She’s hoping to develop a bit of an emotional connection before trying out the shag pad, and if he’s willing to wait around, they could be a shore thing.

At the end of episode two, they have a pretty intense makeout sesh, even though Catia is halfway through eating a bowl of coleslaw. If that’s not love, IDK what is. Again, I’m calling it now: they’re the next iconic shore couple!

I’m intrigued to see what happens with the housemates when reality TV darling Callum Hole arrives later in the season. It’s probably going to get even more chaotic, and I’m living for it.

Aussie Shore is now streaming, only on Paramount+.
