From Greggs to Theatre Royal - 10 jobs currently up for grabs in Newcastle city centre

If you're searching for a job or just fancy a change of career you'll know that finding the perfect role can be a hard task.

But there are a number of new jobs in Newcastle city centre which are looking for both part time and full time staff, as well as some casual positions for those who need the flexibility.

Roles up for grabs include a retail position at a busy Greggs branch and the chance to manage the stage door at the city's much-loved Theatre Royal.

Theatre Royal - Stage Door Keeper

Location: Newcastle city centre

Role: Casual

Hours: No minimum contracted hours, but must be able to work regular weekends, evenings and unsociable hours.

Salary: £9.50 per hour

The Theatre Royal is looking for someone to manage the Stage Door, ensuring only authorised people enter the theatre through it and providing visitors and staff with care, attention and courtesy.

Greggs retail team member

Location: Newcastle city centre

Role: Part time

Hours: 16 hours per week split over four four-hour shifts from Monday to Sunday

Salary: £9.62 per hour, £8.18 per hour if you’re under 18

Shop Manager

Location: Newcastle city centre

Role: Full time Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week

Salary: £10.50 to £12 per hour

Blue Rinse Vintage is a new vintage clothing shop set to open in Newcastle city centre in March.

It is looking for a shop manager to oversee the running of the new store and be responsible for the management of part time staff members.

Driver

Location: Newcastle city centre

Role: Part time

Hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: £10,438 to £11,077 per annum

Newcastle City Council is looking to hire a driver that can provide a transport service for vulnerable adults from their homes and transporting them to various social care locations within the city and returning them home safely.

The driver will be responsible for the driving and escorting of a bus up to 16 seats.

ICT support officer

Location: Newcastle city centre

Role: Full time

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £22,627 -£24,491 per annum

Newcastle City Council is looking for ICT supporert officers who will advise and implement on current and future ICT projects and day-to-day support, including agile working for staff and partner organisations.

Three positions are available, one based in the schools support team, one based in the customer response team and one based in the infrastructure support team.
