With just under a week to go until the January transfer window slams shut, time is running out for Newcastle United to further strengthen their squad in a bid to stay in the Premier League.
The Magpies currently sit inside the bottom three but are just a point behind 17th-place Norwich City ahead of a vital game against struggling Everton after the winter break.
Eddie Howe will be keen to bolster his squad before the end of the month and add to Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood, who have already made the move to Tyneside.

Trippier joined from Atletico Madrid in a £12million deal, while Burnley forward Wood made the switch for around £25million and both played an influential part in Newcastle's important 1-0 win over Leeds United last time out.
