Good Morning Britain marked beloved US sitcom Friends’ 30th anniversary by tracking down the actresses who played baby Emma.
Twins Noelle and Cali Sheldon, now both 22, were aged just one when they took it in turns to play the on-screen daughter of Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross Gellar (David Schwimmer) in season 10 back in the early noughties.
Appearing on a recorded segment on Friday’s show, the Sheldon twins reflected on their unique connection to the series, saying: "It feels really cool getting to be part of a show that's older than we are, Friends has been part of pop culture and television history since we were babies, I'm really grateful for it."
Meanwhile, Cali predicted that Emma has grown up to share qualities with both her parents, including “raiding” fashionista mum Rachel’s closet and palaeontologist Ross’ love for all things “nerdy”.
She added: “I personally do love dinosaurs. I’m a big T-Rex fan.”
They also answered a question that fans have been dying to know ever since the show ended in 2004 - whether Ross and Rachel ended up together after she decided to give up a new life in Paris to be with him.
“They’re definitely still together in my opinion” said Cali adamantly.
Aniston has also previously supported the idea that Ross and Rachel’s romance endured, and she also predicted that Emma would have siblings of her own.
“They’re absolutely, 100 percent together.” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. “They have more kids!”
GMB host Richard Arnold shared after the chat that both twins have graduated from UCLA and are looking to work behind the camera rather than pursue a career on-screen.
Recounting earlier details about their time on Friends previously, the sisters unsurprisingly admitted that they didn’t have any recollection of filming it and were not allowed to watch the show until they turned 13.
"We don't remember anything about being on the show, but we’ve seen the pictures,” they confessed.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Bustle, their mother, Gretchen Carpenter, praised the show for the way they looked after her girls on the set, saying: "Everyone was really, really nice to Noelle and Cali, and treated them like little princesses on the set."
Friends focused on the lives and loves of six friends living in New York. It ran for 10 seasons from 1994 until 2004 and became a global sensation and is still aired around the world today.
