A fundraiser has been launched for the family of a young Derry girl left fighting for her life after being involved in a serious road crash.
Aíne Doherty has spent the last few weeks in ICU after being involved in the accident and remains in Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
The young girl pals hope to help the family who is regularly travelling between Derry and Belfast and are expected to do so in the coming year.
Speaking to MyDerry , Diarmaid Kelly, said he and Gearoid McDermott would be running a bootcamp on January 29th to raise funds for the Doherty family "at this tough time."
He said: "Aíne was in a serious road traffic accident this year and has spent the last few weeks in ICU in the Royal.
"We are hoping to help out her family during this difficult time as they are having to travel to Belfast regularly and will continue to have to do this for the coming year.
"Gearoid McDermott and myself will be running a Bootcamp on the 29th of January to raise funds for the Doherty family in this tough time.
"We currently have 150 people attending.
There is a GoFundMe page for Aíne now running for people to donate and there will also be donation buckets on the day.
