Friends fans watched Ross Geller fall in love with several beautiful, interesting women before finally making it work with Rachel Green, but one of the most memorable former flings was English Emily.
The niece of Rachel's boss, Emily Waltham, played by actress Helen Baxendale, played a big role in seasons four and five of the hit sitcom.
Helen appeared in 14 episodes of the cult programme alongside its stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, and Matthew Perry.
She also played a key role in one of the show's most shocking moments - when Ross said the wrong name at the alter.
Yorkshire born Helen, joined the cast of Friends in 1998 and eventually brought the show to the UK when her on-off relationship with Ross came to its pinnacle and they decided to marry in London.

However, when Schwimmer's character accidentally says Rachel's name instead of Emily's when making his wedding vows, viewers are left on a knife edge - will they won't they get married. They do marry but the relationship eventually sours and comes to an ends.
In 2012, Helen was reported as saying that the fame she got from her appearance in the show was something she "wasn’t prepared for". But added it was "quickly forgotten".
Friends wasn't Helen's first gig, and she shot to fame in Scots series Cardiac Arrest in 1994.
But what has Helen been doing since Emily broke things off with Ross and moved back to London?
She had a number of big acting gigs after the show, with her credits stretching to at least 48 different tv, film and voice productions - many with multiple episodes.
Helen had already established herself in successful British show Cold Feet and at one point, starred in both this and Friends during the same year.
Exchanging the bright lights of Central Perk and the Manhattan lifestyle of Friends for the thirty somethings of Manchester based Cold Feet, Emily played Rachel Bradley, the love interest of Irishman Adam in the long running series.
Cold Feet ran from 1997 until 2003 and centred around the love and life of a close-knit group of couples.
Starring alongside James Nesbitt, John Thomson, Fay Ripley, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathrurst, Helen eventually bowed out of the series in 2003 after her Cold Feet character died in a car crash.
Helen announced she was taking time off to spend time with her young family.
Since then, the actress has had regular roles in Cuckoo, playing Lorna Thompson for seven years until 2019, and played Angela in Kidnap and Ransom . She also appeared in an episode of Marple as well as the final Hercule Poirot mystery for ITV.
Coming soon from the actress is Heidi: Queen of the Mountain, a film inspired by the classic children's novel. According to the IMDb for the production, filming is wrapped but there is currently no release date for the title, which also stars Bill Nighy and Mark Williams.
Off Screen, Helen partner is director, producer and writer, David Wiliams. They live in London with their three children.
Helen played Agatha Christie in the TV film Agatha and the Midnight Murders in 2020 and Pandora Braithwaite in Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years in 2001.
She is currently staring in BBC drama Noughts And Crosses. Playing Maggie McGreggor, Baxendale appears in six episodes of the series, a tale based on Malorie Blackmon's novels set in dystopian London.
The mum of three said of her latest role: "When I told my children what character I was up for they gasped, so I knew this role was great".
